Princess Emeraude summons the Legendary Magic Knights to Cephiro. Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are all at Tokyo Tower on field trips for their individual schools. A sudden light appears and the three are sucked through the floor to the skies of Cephiro. A flying fish, Fyula, catches them in midair. Once on the ground they introduce themselves. Guru Clef appears and tells them that they cannot return home until they save Cephiro. Zagato sends one of his disciples to destroy the Magic Knights. A monster attacks them in the Forest of Elements and Guru Clef destroys it using 'Sundace Lightning Flash'. Clef explains that monsters have started appearing in Cephiro after Princess Emeraude was kidnapped by Priest Zagato. Everyone in Cephiro is fighting Zagato, but the Magic Knights must come from another world and revive the spirits. Clef gives them armor and magic using the spell 'Accept! Magic Gift'. Clef teaches Hikaru how to use her magic. Zagato's disciple, Alcione, attacks them. Clef sends the trio to Presea in the Forest of Silence while he fights Alcione. She summons a pet to take her place and follows the Magic Knights. Hikaru worries about Clef. Umi and Fuu talk her into not going back for Clef. Alcione attacks them and Hikaru hits her with a 'Fire Arrow' spell. The trio escapes from Alcione. Zagato talks to Emeraude. The Magic Knights arrive at Presea's house and spring a trap in her study. Presea appears and tries to decide what to do to Mokona. She won't listen to the Magic Knights when they explain why they are in Presea's study, and she tries to decide what to do with them. Umi's comment interrupts her and Presia explains that they shouldn't have been able to get into her house through the special lock that Guru Clef made her. She recognizes them as the Legendary Magic Knights, and lets them out of the cage. Presea introduces herself and offers to lend them weapons until she can make them Evolving Weapons. She tells them to go into the Forest of Silence and find the Legendary Mineral Escudo that the Evolving Weapons are made from. She tells them to get Escudo at the Legendary Spring Eterna, and warns them that their magic will not work in the forest. They choose their weapons, which disappear into their glove-jewels. Presea tells Mokona to guide them to Eterna. A demon attacks them in the forest and they defeat it. They agree to be sisters, with Hikaru as the little sister. Another demon attacks and a mysterious guy, Ferio, saves them.
