Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon is a magical girl series created by Takeuchi Naoko. The TV series contains 200 episodes total and ran in five seasons. The first season contains 46 episodes. The R season contains episodes 47 through 89, a total of 43 episodes. There is a recap episode between the R and S seasons. The S season ran for 37 episodes, and contains episodes 91 to 127. The SuperS season contains 41 episodes, number 128 through 168. The final season, Sailor Stars, ran for 31 episodes and contains episodes 169 to 200. The beginning of Sailor Stars is a continuation of the SuperS season. There is a movie for each of the R, S, and Supers seasons. There are also two specials and a large amount of live-action musicals. The first two seasons, originally released in dubbed-only format by DIC, will be released by ADV Films in both subtitled and dubbed formats. The S and SuperS TV series will be released by Pioneer.
