Note: Names in this series are given first name then last.
'The Grim Reaper' Bostalk- Stefany's father. Killed a group of farmers and took over their town.
Stefany Bostalk- The prized daughter of Mr. Bostalk. Used as ransom for a bunch of criminals in stage 4.
Marianne Aura Cayzen- She is the granddaughter of the director of the Stantal Federal Bureau. She has purple eyes and blonde hair. She stays with Cliff Schezar to secretly investigate his monopoly on water in stage 2. She pretends to be Vash to sneak about Mr. Schezar's property until he hires the real Vash. (Though they don't know that.) She's really a Marshal.
Denim- Another of the criminals in stage 4.
Descartes- He chases after Vash to collect the $$60 billion reward on him in stage 1. He captures the real Vash and then thinks Vash is really Ruth Loose when he arrives. He leads a large bunch of henchmen. He is quite tall with a green Mohawk and a red suit. I've seen his name spelled as Descarte.
Dick- Stan's assistant in stage 4.
Gene- One of the criminals in stage 4. He tries to shoot Stefany Bostalk after she makes a comment about pocket change. He gets run over, but lives.
Ingway- One of the criminals in stage 4.
Joshua- Don't know who he is, I just saw his name in the credits for stage 3. I think he's Vash's tailor or something.
Ruth Loose- A bounty hunter who chases after Vash in the first stage. He is mistaken for Vash by Descartes, who he thinks is Vash. They eventually unite to chase the real Vash. He is hit by Descartes' boomerang and injured. I've also seen his name listed as Loose Louis. He has blonde hair and the lining of his coat is red.
Frank Marlon- The genius gunsmith who fixes Vash's gun in stage 3. He is famous for saving Warrens City from bandits. His wife and daughter were killed ten years ago during a bank robbery with guns that he had made and given out himself. Afterwards he became a drunk, but he gave up drinking after Vash helped to save Warrens City.
Marvin- One of the criminals in stage 4. He is shot by the gang Stan hires.
Rem Saverem- Someone Vash mentions in stage 4. I've seen her name spelled as Lem Sayblam.
Cliff Schezar- He holds a monopoly on water. After he was attacked, he jokingly sends out an add looking for a bodyguard like Vash the Stampede. He unknowingly receives Vash, but would have made anyone who answered the add Vash. His monopoly is destroyed when Marianne Aura Cayzen investigates and Vash accidentally releases the water in stage 2.
Stan- Sherrif of the town run by Mr. Bostalk. He doesn't like to follow Bostalk's orders and tries to rise in the town's ranks by killing Mr. Bostalk. He's stopped by Vash and the head criminal (either Ingway or Denim) from stage 4.
Meryl "Derringer" Stryfe- She works with Milly at the Bernardelli Insurance Society and is out to stop Vash from causing any more disasters. Little does she know that Vash is directly under her nose, but she won't believe he's the real Vash. She has black hair and gray eyes. She has 50 American Derringers strapped on underneath her coat.
Milly "Stungun" Thompson- She works with Meryle at the Bernardelli Insurance Society. She's Meryle's junior. She is extremely tall. She has a large gun that binds people. She's the youngest of ten or seven children depending on whether you go by the anime or manga respectively. She writes home often.
Vash the Stampede- A legendary gunslinger who is blamed for the destruction of several towns, but has never killed anyone. He has spiked blond hair, green eyes, and wears a red trench coat with sunglasses. According to him, blood makes him faint. He disapproves of suicide more than anything else. He carries a custom-made six shooter that is quite heavy. He loves doughnuts and is a pacifist. He's somewhere around 180 cm tall.
