Asada Tetsuya- He's Sayaka's boyfriend. A college athlete, he was used as a lab experiment in creating monsters by Korin Pharmaceutical. He turns into a monster that is part mountain gorilla and part Komodo Dragon. He took a temporary job (presumably at Korin) to raise money for Sayaka's birthday present. He is killed by Schreient in Mission 8.
Asakawa Yuriko- She appears in Mission 5 and falls in love with Ken. She rides a Yamaha F-ZR motorcycle. She worked as a gopher for a small company but quit to travel to Australia and work in her friend's bike shop. One of the victims of the Freude experiments. She travels to Australia without Ken.
Azumi- She is Botan's daughter. She was kidnapped 3 years ago and is presumed dead, though Botan is still looking for her. She is shown in Mission 17 in a photograph Botan carries with him.
Birman- Persia's secretary, she gives Weiss their missions in the second half of the show. She first appears in Mission 16. She's 23 and her voice actress is Inoue Kikuko. I've also seen her name spelled Barman and Barma.
Botan- A Kritiker agent, he gives Weiss their targets in Mission 16 with Birman and Manx. I've also seen his name spelled Button. He uses paper cranes as his weapons. He is killed in Mission 17 by one of the members of the Committee of Thinking the Future. His daughter, Azumi was kidnapped three years ago and his wife was killed. Although probably dead, Azumi is the reason Botan is in Kritiker.
Comittee of Thinking the Future- An acade microrganization devoted to promoting study for youth and to do something about delinquency. It is formed by teachers and ordinary business people. They are responsible for setting several youths on fire. They are believed to be connected to SS and are influenced by Schulderich.
Creepers- A gang run by Koga Kengi and Kase Koichiro. Hired by Takatori Reiji to kill a politician. They appear in Mission 4.
Endo Seiji- He kills five people at Takahashi University and then shoots himself. He had been found not guilty and released previous to the shooting.
Fujimiya Aya- She is Ran/Aya's sister. In the anime she was hit by Takatori Reiji's car on her 16th birthday, and is in a coma in the Magic Bus Hospital for two years. In the manga she was hurt in the same explosion that killed her parents. First appears in Mission 2. Her voice actress is Yui Horie. Ran gave her a set of earrings for her sixteenth birthday. She has one in her hand and Ran wears the other. Normally referred to as Aya-chan so as not to confuse her with her brother, who goes by the same name. While in her coma, she didn't age. She is used by SS as part of a ritual to revive a long-dead ghost and bring immortality to the SS heads. She wakes up shortly after the heads are defeated. She runs the flower shop with Momoe and Sakura.
Hayasaka Michiru- She won the Genius Hacker contest as the youngest entry. Her boyfriend was accidentally killed by a falling car. She appears in Mission 1. She is attacked by Sukaruku, but saved by Weiss.
Mr. Hazuki- The father of one of Omi's classmates, he appears in Mission 20. He is the cop who arrested Okubo Yoshinobu. Okubo bites him, and later kills him. He hangs out with Omi for part of Mission 20.
Hazuki Midori- A classmate of Omi's who appears in Mission 20. She is in first year, class E. She asks Omi for a ride to the courthouse where her father is waiting. Okubo Yoshinobu threatens to kill her at the trial, and later injures her in the same attack that kills her father.
Hikage Masaya- The woman in charge of Human Chess. A red scar appears on her forehead when excited. Appears in Mission 2, where she's killed by Weiss.
Mr. Ikeda- He is mentioned in Mission 1 as the Minister of Energy, and in charge of a system of bribes.
Jidokai Hiroshi- The General Manager of Riot, he appears in Mission 3 and is killed by Weiss.
Kase Koichiro- Ken's childhood friend and fellow J-Leager. He tried to kill Ken and have Ken framed for gambling on soccer games. Second-in-command of the Creepers, and Koga Kengi's secretary. He appears in Mission 4, and briefly in Mission 5. I've also seen his name spelled Kaseo and Kazeo. He is killed by Ken.
Kato Michio- One of the three kidnappers in Mission 7, he is killed by Weiss.
Katsura Hisao- He appears in Mission 5 as the CEO of Freude. He is killed by Weiss when he tries to flee the country.
Kawaji Isao- The author of Wonder X, he creates 'sound-art' for SS that causes insanity in Mission 19. He is a perfectionist who wasn't recognized as a composer when he was younger. He is killed by Aya.
Keiko- A classmate of Omi's and a friend of Mika's, she is with Mika when she is kidnapped. She reports Mika's kidnapping to the teachers at school. She appears in Mission 16.
Kimura Akihiko- A member of Sukaruku who tricks Michiru into breaking into an MO disk for him in Mission 1. He is killed by Weiss.
Kimura Teppei- Child 11, he is kidnapped on the orders of Takatori Masafumi. He is in Mission 7. He is found dead with the rest of the kidnapped children. He and the other children were used as part of Korin Pharmaceutical's experiments.
Kinugawa- A psychic lawyer who uses his power to influence witnesses. Important witnesses suddenly become missing or kill themselves in his cases. He works for Schwarz, keeping killers out of jail. He offers to do the same for Omi. Omi kills him in Mission 20.
Koga Kengi<- Leader of the Creepers, and head of Axis Construction Company. He appears in Mission 4. He is killed by Kase, his second-in-command.
Kondo Hiroshi- A former cabinet member, he is involved in hunting humans in Mission 10. He is a supporter of Takatori Reiji, and is killed by Weiss.
Korin Pharmaceutical- A major company with several laboratories, it is lead by CEO Takatori Masafumi. It was involved in researching DNA before it's destruction by Weiss. They are responsible for several deaths and for turning humans into monsters.
Krankenhaus- An overseas organization that works with Shigen Yukuo to steal organs for Takatori Masafumi. They appear in Mission 6.
Kusunoki Masatada- President of Riot, he appears in Mission 3 and is killed by Weiss.
Kyoko- Yohji mistakes Kyoko for Askua in Mission 16. He describes her as more refined, subdued, and spiritual than Asuka. She is really Neu/Asuka. (Yohji was right after all.) She tries to kill Yohji before being chased off by Botan in Mission 16. When she fights Yohji again in Mission 21, and professes her love for Masafumi before Yohji kills her.
Maeda Hiroshi- He appears in Mission 5 as the Factory Chairman of Freude, and is killed by Weiss.
Maki- A prostitute that Yohji helps escape from Riot. She appears in Mission 3 and is killed by Riot.
Mami- A classmate of Omi's and a friend of Mika's, she is with Mika when she is kidnapped. She reports Mika's kidnapping to the teachers at school. She appears in Mission 16.
Manx- She's Persia's secretary, and her real name is Hanae Kitada. She brings Weiss information for their missions. She first appears in Mission 1, and is in pretty much every episode since up to the second half. (Episodes 16-25) She does make a few appearances in the second part. She has red hair and green eyes. I've also seen her name spelled Max. She helps Weiss defeat SS and save Sakura and Aya-chan in the last episode. She is shown watching Sakura and Aya-chan at the flower shop from her car with Birman.
Masato- He appears in Mission 1 as Michiru's boyfriend. He is hit by a car and dies. He rides a motorcycle.
Matsuo Tadashi- A college student in Tokyo who was shot after killing two muggers in Mission 8.
Mika- A classmate of Omi's who is kidnapped, she appears in Mission 16. She is saved by Weiss.
Murase Asuka- Yohji's partner from when he was a detective. She is described as rude, short tempered, stubborn, and crazy. She was killed when she and Yohji were investigating a runaway girl in Riot two years before the series started. She appears in Mission 3. She is later assumed to be Noi of Schreient and Kyoko, but the series never directly states it.
Nakazawa Yasuichi- The former prime minister, he is involved with hunting humans in Mission 10. He is a supporter of Takatori Reiji, and is killed by Weiss.
Nanbara Tamaki- Vice-President of Riot, she appears in Mission 3 and is killed by Weiss.
Oda- A friend of Ouka's, his father is a minister in the Ministry of Finance. He's described as a joker. He hits on Ouka and says he likes her for her style and grace.
Ohara- He is a supporter of Takatori Reiji. He is shown in Mission 11.
Okamoto Shin-ichi- A male nurse at the second hospital Aya-chan is in. He is 33, and had been restless since Aya-chan was taken. He is known to have had a fling at Kamakura castle. He was bribed by a strange woman in a bar to leave the hospital's emergency exit unlocked on the night Aya was taken. He appears in Mission 17.
Okubo Yoshinobu- A madman who killed 6 women and a golf course using a golf club in Mission 20. He was arrested and then release due to Kinugawa even though his fingerprints were on the murder weapons. He bites Mr. Hazuki. He's released after Kinugawa makes the key witness have a heart attack. He kills Mr. Hazuki and injures Hazuki Midori.
Persia- He is Weiss' boss. He communicated to them through a screen and in never seen clearly until later in the series. Persia rescued Omi when he was kidnapped. First appears in Mission 1. His voice actor is Juurouta Kosugi. His real name is Takatori Shuichi, and he is Tokyo's Chief of Police. He was in love with his Takatori Reiji's wife Kikuno. He has brown hair, purple eyes, and smokes. He is killed by his brother, Reiji in Mission 15 but still appears on Weiss Mission videotapes. He is Omi's real father.
Ruth- She is a nun that teaches at a church in Tokyo. She meets Ken at the flower shop and buys flowers off him. Farfarello tries to kill her. She's Farfarello's mother. She appears in Mission 18.
Ryoichi- Goes mad due to Wonder X's music and jumps out of the window in his room in Mission 19. Weiss pretends to be his friends to get his Wonder X CD.
Sado Kenichi- One of the three kidnappers in Mission 7, he is killed by Weiss.
Sakaki Ouka- She appears in each episode to buy Omi flowers. She first appears in Mission 1, and appears several times afterwards. Her father is Takatori Reiji, and her mother is Sakaki Shizuka. She is killed by Farfarello in Mission 12. She has no best friends. She is described as selfish, and tends to get carried away with things. She has blue hair and pinkish-brown eyes. She has a pet poodle.
Sakaki Shizuka- Takatori Reiji's mistress and Takatori Ouka's mother. She owns the restaurant "Sakaki". She is 34 years old. She has blue hair and a mole under the left side of her mouth.
Sakuma Shohta- A sixth grade student kidnapped on the orders of Takatori Masafumi. He is labeled child 7 for the experiments, and is the only one kidnapped that doesn't die. He appears in Mission 7. Weiss rescues him when he's kidnapped a second time.
Sakuma Shoichiro- Shohta's father, and the CEO of Angel Communications. He appears in Mission 7.
Sayaka- A friend of Ouka's, she appears in Mission 8. Her boyfriend is Asada Tetsuya.
Shigen Yukuo- A mad doctor who steals organs for Takatori Masafumi. He appear in Mission 6 and work's in the Mobile Operating Room. He is the leader of Krankenhaus, and is killed by Weiss.
SS- SS is insane occult cult of Westerners responsible for Schwarz. Run by three elderly people, (two males and a female) it responsible for most of the events in the series. They are the hierarchy that the Takatori's answer to. They order Schwarz to kidnap Aya-chan so they can resurrect an evil ghost and gain immortality. I've seen their name spelled SZ, Estet, Este, and Esset. They seek the destruction of the world as it stands so that they can create their ideal utopia from the ruins. They tried their ritual fifty years ago, but it failed. They are first shown in Mission 16 and are killed by Weiss in the last episode.
Sukaruku- A group of four assassins who murdered a group of reporters for the Tohou newspaper and also try to kill Michiru. They appear in Mission 1 and are killed by Weiss.
Takatori Hirofumi- Takatori Reiji's oldest son and secretary, he is killed by Omi in Mission 11. He has two younger brothers, Masafumi and Mamoru. He is involved in hunting humans for sport. He tortures Omi for information about Weiss. He was away studying abroad when Omi was kidnapped. He first appears in Mission 10.
Takatori Kikuno- She's Reiji's wife. She was in love with Takatori Shuuichi. I've also seen her name spelled Kikuko or Chinuco. She hung herself after Omi was born. Reiji says she was mentally ill.
Takatori Mamoru- Takatori Shuuichi's only son, also known as Tsukiyono Omi.
Takatori Masafumi- He first appears in Mission 5. He is connected to the Fruede experiments, the organ thefts, and the kidnappings of episodes 5, 6, and 7 respectively. He is a member of Diet, the Japanese Parliament, and a chemist. Aya kills him in Mission 9. He is the CEO of Korin Pharmaceutical. He lead the DNA research team there.
Takatori Reiji- Responsible for Aya's sister being in the hospital. Aya is obsessed with killing him. He first appears in Mission 2. His seiyuu is Wakamoto Norio. He likes to play golf. He loves Ouka dearly, and brought her a paper crane that he had made when she was in a hospital because of illness. Formerly the Minister of Defense, he became the vice-president of the Jigen party, and then the Prime Minister. He keeps a gun in a drawer on the right side of his desk and under his desk. He created the Special Security Force (Schwarz) as his own personal force.
Takatori Shuuichi- Reiji's younger brother, See Persia.
Tomoe Sakura- A 15 year-old famous sprinter, and high school student, who has her kidney stolen. She is friends with Aya, and resembles his sister. She first appears in Mission 6. She falls in love with Aya and admits it to him. She has a relative who is in charge of maintenance of the theater dome where Weiss hunts Wonder X in Mission 19, and she sometimes does odd jobs for him. She has blue-violet eyes and brown hair. Originally close cut, she grows her hair out longer after meeting Aya. At the end of the series she helps Aya-chan and Momoe in the flower shop.
Yamada Jun- Mie's brother and the first fatality in Human Chess, he appears in Mission 2.
Yamada Mie- A small girl at the Magic Bus Hospital who mistook Aya for her brother, Jun. She is anemic, and probably blind. She appears in Mission 2. Her parents and only brother are dead.
Yamagami Shinjiro- One of the three kidnappers in Mission 7, he is killed by Weiss.
Yamaguchi Momoe- She's the old woman who works at the flower shop with the Weiss boys. She leaves and goes back to the country when they close the flower shop, but comes back to work in the flower shop with Aya-chan and Sakura at the end of the series.
Yomitsune Kenta- A former chief of police, he is involved in hunting humans in Mission 10. He is a strong supporter of Takatori Reiji, and is killed by Weiss.
Yumi- A young girl who goes insane at a McDonalds Omi and Yohji are at in Mission 19. Wonder X's music causes her to run into the street, where she's hit by a car.
