Kamui returns to Tokyo after being away for six years. Kotori and Fuma ride to school on Fuma's bike. Kotori tells Fuma that she had a dream of Kamui returning. Kamui is attacked by a bunch of cursed zombies on his way to school. He easily destroys them, but doesn't put up a barrier and destroys part of the street in consequence. He's late for class because of the attack. Kotori sees him entering the school grounds and thinks she's hallucinating. Fuma breaks a hole in the soccer net and goes looking for the ball. He sees Kamui, but Kamui walks right past him without saying anything. Kamui finally arrives to class. Kotori has a flashback of before Kamui left. Kamui had asked for Kotori to be his bride when he returned, and promised Fuma never to make Kotori cry. After class, Kamui is mobbed by the other students, but leaves without saying anything. Kotori follows him. He tells her to stay away from him, and that things aren't like they were six years ago. Kamui senses someone watching him, and lashes out at them. His attack reaches Princess Hinoto. Kotori dreams of Kamui holding the world in his hands, and the world shattering. She sees Kamui with one angel wing and one devil wing. She wakes in the nurse's office at school. The nurse tells her that Kamui had brought her there after she collapsed on the stairs. Fuma takes her home. Kamui returns to the vacant lot that was his home six years ago. He remembers his mother telling him to live and be strong until the appointed day in 1999. He remembers his mother being devoured in flames. He is confronted outside his old home. Saiki lures Kamui to a deserted area and fights him. Kamui is injured by one of Saiki's attacks. Arashi appears and defends Saiki. She pulls a sword from her palm and distracts Kamui long enough for her and Saiki to escape. Saiki and Arashi return to Princess Hinoto. Hinoto tells them of her dream of the end of the world. In her dream, Kamui noticed her dreaming of him. She watches as the earth breaks. She tells Arashi to protect Kamui. Kamui collapses in his old home. Kotori sends Fuma out for a notebook. He sees a large crack in the street caused by Kamui's fight that morning. He finds Kamui and takes him to Fuma and Kotori's home. Fuma and Kotori's father sends for a doctor to treat Kamui. Two stranger fight over who sees Kamui first above the shrine that Fuma and Kotori live in.
