About me…

I was born and brought up at Eravangudi village, which is beautiful in all aspects and it is in Perambalur District of Tamilnadu, India. My father is a retired school teacher and my mother is a housewife. I am gifted with four elder sisters and I am the only brother for them. So you imagine how much love and affection I had from my family members.

I did my early stage of schooling from here and I have vivid memory of it. Those were really a wonderful days. Later for my studies I went to Trichonopoly (Now it is Trichy) along with my elder sister and uncle. From here I continued my education till my M.Sc. I am so much thankful to my uncle and sister for their untiring support during those days.

I did my schooling in Boiler plant higher secondary school in Tiruverambur, Trichy. It was really a nice experience with lot of play and fun. Here I met some of my unforgettable teachers and friends. Then I joined the all famous “National College- Trichy” for my graduate degree in Geology in the august month of July, 1994.  By 1999, my college administration was so eager to award me the degree and I successfully (?) completed my M. Sc in Applied Geology.

Then for another two year I was practicing groundwater investigation studies in my locality. During this time I also completed my Post Graduate diploma in Hydrogeology from Annamalai University.  Then as per my parent’s guidance and friend’s suggestion I joined M. Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS in Bharathidasan University, Trichy.  Here I met some of my nice teachers (Prof. S. M. Ramasamy, Prof. C. J. Kumanan and Prof. K. Shankar) and they changed my course of life.

After my M.Tech I got an opportunity to join PhD programme in Earth Sciences department in IIT-Bombay under the guidance of Prof. S. Anbazhagan and I am pursuing it.
