K.J. Jesudas : The first song!Jesudas in a recent interview on Kairali talked about how he started singing in the movies. The year was 1961. Many songs were in the list. But he was not well and his sound was questionable to many. Many songs were skipped because of the problem. The day was 14 November 1961. Finally Jesudas was given the simple four lines:
That was the destiny! Jesudas recalls with great feeling and respect. The lines given to him were not simple 4 lines. But the most meaningul words composed by none other than Sree Narayana Guru himself. Jesudas remains faithful to Guru's words to this day and talks about it wherever possible. |
