1. Two Patch Unit: Press to dark fabric |
2. Match up your seams in the center. |
3. Here is a close up of your center seam |
4.Carefully open your first seam in the 2nd seam's seam allowance. Do not cut the threads - just pull them open and press as shown. The seams will spiral and a tiny four patch will show on the backside where the four seams come together.. aka "Tweaking" |
BONUS METHOD ONE: On the wrong side of each Background 4 1/4" square, draw an X with a pencil . With right sides together, sew a Background square to a Bold Print square..... as shown in the diagram Keep on sewing until you have 18 of these paired units sewn together Cut on the drawn lines and press to the Bold Print. Follow the diagrams and pair two of the parts together as shown. Press in a four patch spiral. Square up to 3 1/2" -- be sure to keep your ruler's diagonal line on your diagonal seam. Need: 36 Units Label Part 'A" Bag 'em Pinky! |

REMOVE CLUE #5 FABRICS FROM THEIR BAGGIE ***** REMEMBER YOU STARTED WITH ............... BACKGROUND FABRIC: 2 STRIPS 4 1/4" X 45" BOLD PRINT FABRIC: 2 STRIPS 4 1/4" X 45 YOU HAVE CUT THESE STRIPS APART EVERY 4 1/4" YOU SHOULD HAVE 18 UNITS OF EACH FABRIC |
BONUS METHOD TWO: Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of one of the 4 1/4" squares. Pair up a Background and a Bold Print and sew 1/4" away from both sides of the drawn line. Follow the diagrams to continue.
