Blues review
This album, Guy's most experimental, gets the royal remix treatment
and a couple of added tracks from the same period. It probably makes
better sense today then it did when it was first released. Turn it up:
"Texas Flood," yeah, that one, before SRV got hold of it.
NY CD Blues (Barry Silverberg)
Breaking out is an electric disc. Electric in how it may effect
you and electronic in Buddy's hookups. There is plenty of guitar distortion
here, and enough fuzz to make even the most hard rock fan cringle -
but for me this is a a real piece of the heart and soul of Mr. Buddy
Guy.
