CHUCK KNOBLAUCH

Great 2nd Baseman!

STATS

Just the basics about Chuck

Chuck is one of the best ball players in the American League. He spent his first 10 years of his career in baseball as a 2nd baseman. From that point though, in the spring training of 2001 he went from 2nd baseman to being an outfielder, which was a good move for him, to try something new. He has a great throw, and a good catch. As it is, he also leads the American League in stolen bases.

His career started back in 1991 with The Minnesota Twins, and was the American League Rookie of the year in his start with them. From there, right in the beginning of 1998, he joined with the greatest baseball team in history, The New York Yankees. For a little over 4 years, Chuck was a very valuable asset to this ball club, and they were all very blessed to have him there I am sure. However, in 2001, his average went to a low due to some injuries, and was hit approximately 11 times in one season. He was then traded and went to The Kansas City Royals this year. He may be with a different ball club, but I am still a very dedicated fan of his no matter who he plays for.

Chuck has been part of four World Series Championships so far. One was with Minnesota in 1991, and then three of them with New York in 1998, 1999, and 2000.

Chuck is a wonderful asset to any team that he plays for. I hope that one day I will have the great oppurtunity of meeting the one person who I think is very valuable to baseball.
