Marilyn
discovers a magic doll that allows her to stop time just by saying the word
"Stop". When she first learns of the doll's secrets, she freezes her roommate,
Kelly (center) and Kelly's two friends, Jacqueline and Miranda, while playing
poker.
Having
never played with dolls in her childhood, Marilyn seizes the opportunity
to use the magic doll to experience the fun she never had. She freezes Kelly,
Jacqueline and Miranda, dresses them up like dolls, and has a giant-sized
tea party.
In
the climax scene, all three of Marilyn's friends try to grab her magic doll
away from her. Before they can, Marilyn yells "Stop!". Unfortunately, the
doll breaks in the struggle, and the girls are frozen forever. Marilyn is
temporarily trapped in the groping hands of the frozen women, but soon breaks
free of their soild grip and stares at them in wonder.
Now
that her friends are permanent dolls, Marilyn can finally live out her dreams
of "being normal", like in this scene, where she and her "new pals" watch
a late night movie.
