This award has been developed as a small token of appreciation to thank those people who continue to help preserve the Parilla name in motorcycling. The recipients were determined by input from The Yahoo Parilla group, then finalized by the Parilla group owner, which is the presenter of the award.

The award itself was sculpted from clay then a plaster cast was made of that. The cast was then used to make 11 clay castings. These castings were then imprinted with the individuals name and signed with a chop from the presenter. They were then Bisque fired at 1700 degrees. They were then stained with special glaze then fired again at 2100 degrees. We wanted to make an award that was a little different and more of a handmade look, instead of just another trophy or plaque. We hope the receivers of this award display it proudly along with their Parilla collection.

I know there are others out there that deserve recognition for efforts to continue the Parilla name and maybe the next time we can get them in on an award too.
