My name is Dr. Gary V. Hill M.D.. I am a specialist in Emergency Medicine trained at the most prestigious medical school in Canada, the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. I received my post-graduate training at the John’s Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. In late 1991 my wife and I were confronted with the heart-breaking news that our fourth child had had a massive intrauterine stroke and had no hope of ever leading a normal life. We were given the option of an abortion at eight months of gestation which we immediately rejected. Our child was beyond the help of modern medicine and we decided to cry out to God for deliverance. Six weeks later, little Carolyn was born, completely normal in every way. I have reviewed the diagnostic studies and the prognosis with other specialists who confirm that our situation had definitely been hopeless.

Every day as a physician I see other people who desperately need God’s help but don’t know that God is real and that He still heals today. I also run into Christians that are trusting their family’s life and health to diet, vitamins and New Age practices like therapeutic touch, reflexology, acupunture, hypnosis, etc. rather than trusting God. Recently a "complementary medicine" clinic was opened at a local Catholic Hospital. It was instituted by a provincial government agency. As a physician I see this as quackery and squandering of precious health care resources. As a Christian I question why Bhuddist and New Age healing are represented but Christian healing is excluded. This is what prompted me to write this book.

God has been such a blessing to my family that I wish to share with you how to seek Him for yourself and how to receive your miracle of healing. My only textbook is the Bible which I quote liberally to give you a grounding in Christian healing principles and in order to build your faith to the point where you too can receive.
