George's "little friend" does not come in the form of a high power weapon with a large magazine, rather a big fat bag of campaign cash courtesy of corporate bundling from organizations such as the NRA and big Texas polluters. Al Puccino acted and was awarded an Oscar. In ways, George too is acting, but should not be awarded the presidency.

In the VP Ring

Bush and Cheney are constantly taking jabs at Gore yet insisting they "aren't going to run a negative campaing, but will counterpuch". If anyone believe their assertion, they were just sucker punched. Watch Lieberman knock Dick "Oil Slick" out in the fifth. Cheney is old, bloated and you can see his bullsh*t coming like a parade on 5th Ave.

Mock the Voter

Seems each and every time Bush opens his mouth, he emits more empty rhetoric such as, "compassionate conservative, new GOP, inclusion, uniter not divider, reformer with results" +...+. With empty blather as his tool, George is playing "mock the vote". The intelligence of the vote is the focus of the "mocking".

The GOP likes to think of themselves as "sturdy men who step up in the nation's time of need". This ideal seems to be mostly in theory as the current crop are more like posers when it comes to serving their country during war.
