Treasure Hunts

Jeanne d'Arc, the Maid of Lorraine

Introduction

At the death of Charles VI, "the crazy king," his son, the Dauphin, Charles was disowned - (they called him the "little King of Bourges"). He spent a lot of time with his court in Chinon. The legal king was Henry VII, King of England, who was too young to rule. The Duke of Bedford was the Regent. He governed from Paris and was allied to the Duchy of Burgundy. The arrival of Jeanne d'Arc would determine the outcome of the Hundred Years' War which had been relentlessly going on between the Kingdoms of France and England.
