Your Failure
You tried to break me,
To make me your slave.
You tried to hurt me,
Stab me right through.
How does failure feel?
Does it leave a wound on your coal heart?
You tried oh so hard to taunt me.
You would writhe in pleasure as I cried.
You tried and tried to break me down.
But here I have won.
I have defeated you with silent blows.
Now in an invisible prison you are bound.
You tried so hard, you failed.
You pretended love so much, you failed.
Now I watch you from afar and laugh.
I watch as you cower from all.
What would they do if they knew your sin?
It was your sin, not mine.
I have licked my wounds clean.
I have returned doubled in strength.
I have found faith.
I can see a small ray of hope.
I have caught it in my hands.
How did you think you could break me?
