I Laugh at You
By: Akkiko
With goodbye you thought my heart would be marred.
You thought my mind and trust would be scarred.
As I read you note of supposed rightouseness,
I thought of the gift you bestowed, in all thoughtfullness.
I turned and laughed.
It had been so long since I had laughed.
My sides rocked and heaved.
Did you think of your departure I would be bereaved?
I laugh at you now.
I laugh at you and your family now.
You gave me what I needed, just when I wanted it.
How unfortunate, I laugh again, that your eyes are the ones no longer lit.
I laugh, once and again, I laugh.
