Chapter E Eagles History
Howdy and Welcome Gold Wing Road Riders Association members and
guests! Wichita Falls Chapter E is one of forty chapters in Texas
District, South Central Region H of the Gold Wing Road Riders
Association. Fifty-nine families participate in Chapter E. Our motto is
friends for fun, safety and knowledge.
Beginning in 1991, chapter history shows Ronnie and Virginia Lamb, Ron
and Cathy Hefley, Nancy and Keith Chamberlain, and Vern and Ann Polley
as past chapter directors and volunteer leaders. Memories of red hats,
dead fish fry, and fish callers fill a scrapbook. The chapter emblem
shows the famous waterfall of Wichita Falls in north-central Texas, USA.
A Texas district rally held at Wichita Falls in 2000 and 2001 reminds
us of little green men and spaced-out helmets worn by Chapter E
participants. "You gotta a problem with that?" was a brilliant line
from a prize winning talent show. We ride in parades, escort sporting
events, go on thousand mile rides to Colorado and New Mexico, do toy
runs, and have bike shows. Mostly we ride and eat and shop. Rider
educator safety records show the chapter accident-free for five years.
We have an annual Christmas party in December.
Officers and staff are all volunteer leaders who commit to serving the
members. Past Directors and leaders Jim and Pat King, Jimmy and Winona
Atkinson, and George and Janet Scott, Wayne and Jackie Hankinson give
remarkable example for the new Chapter Directors, Larry and Karen
Brown.
You're invited to join in the history of Chapter "E.
