Fanart Contest

Hey everyone! Our fanart contest has come to a close. Thank you to all our participants. Ai and Wa of course had a fun time! It doesn't matter whether you won an award or not, your fanart was much appreciated so that makes everyone a winner! There's a list of our 'winners' near the bottom of the page. Hey people! Wa and Ai have decided to host a fanart contest here at our site! So what do you think? Are you going to join? Well we have made up rules about the contest so please read them!!(Wa is so excited.) So why join the contest? First you get the chance to promote your site and your art work. Secondly, you get to win on of our awards. Thirdly, you can also encourage another new artist to draw! And what's most important to an artist is that you get the chance to receive attention, appreciation and approval for you hard hard work! So please consider joining!

Here are the rules: 1.) Our site is non yaoi/yuri/hentai/lemon, therefore we won't accept any of those entries. Gomen ne. 2.) There's no real theme for this contest, but we would like all entries to be a single character(Relena/Heero) or a couple picture of them. Sorry just Relena and Heero this time. 3.) Please include your name (pen name), email, your URL(if you have one). Lastly please give a name for your fanart. 4.) The fanart can either be a CG, coloured by any medium, or a nice sketch. (P.S. please don't do it on line paper.) 5.) It must be your idea! (no copyright) *nOtE* Sorry about forgetting to mention this, but we will only accept one submission from each person. It is not fair for some people to have like 4 entries while others only have one. Sorry for the inconvenience, gomen ne. But you can always change your submission, but be sure that it's done before the deadline. Judging: 1.) Your fanart will be judged based on the creativity, presentation, the use of colour and the drawing skill. 2.) We are going to distribute 'marks' out of 20 to determine the rank of the piece. You can choose to see the marks or not. 3.) Wa and Ai are going to be the judges. (Each will give a mark out of 10 to get a total out of 20.) How to Submit? You can submit to us by email! Because Ai and Wa don't know how to type up html code so we dont' know how to make a submit form.(Actually we'd try it before but it won't work..) Sorry about that.......... Deadline: This contest is running from Feb 1st to July 11st .(if you don't have enough time then email us and we will consider changing the deadline. What you win? Well there's no actual prize because it's unsafe to exchange your address on the internet but you receive one of the beautiful awards Wa has made. You also get recognition and your fanart will be post on our site. Anyway, here are the samples of the awards below.

Awards

Award explanation/requirements: First Place: The technique of your drawing skill. The colouring skill (if your pic is in B/W, we will look for you shading skills) The theme and mood for your artwork to see if they make sense. A combinaton of the criteria of the other awards. (It's like overall components of your fanart.) Second Place: Similar to first place criteria but is on level two...meaning we're looking for the same stuff, but it's slightly something or is not able to reach the top level yet. Third Place: Similar judging...under second place. New awards 1. Best tone: -the use of colour and the combination of colour. (expression and the mood/ theme also counts) 2. Most fresh: -the sense/feeling of the drawing, giving us a fresh, clean and healthy feeling. The pic has to give off a feeling of originality (new and fresh feel). (The use of colour is very important in this one. Green doesn't have to be used, other colours are accepted!) 3. Best message: Besides your drawing, your message is still important. The ideea and the message expressed in the pic by you. For example: happy, sad, angry...something deeper than that perhaps... 4. Best Angle: -use of angle, the perspective used in fanart -for example: the pose of the character 5. Warm Award: -a warm, cozy feeling given off by the picture (Expression/mood/theme and use of colour are very important.) 6. Big Smiley Face: -A thank you for joining our first fanart contest (Contest 2002, Theme: H, R, H+R)
