Alterations

There are several ways to obtain alterations. You can gain them by winning the buddy contest for a month, as a long term benefit of being a premium tax payer, by purchasing vouchers for alterers, by waiting with all the patience of a monk at a fest or merchant wagon for the list to open, by purchasing a King or Queen's wedding package, or by being at the right place and the right time when a merchant in a good mood comes by.

There are of course limitations, some determined solely by the artist you are dealing with, others set in stone by Simutronics® that can be found on their website.

Alterations I have commissioned:

 Jewelry      Tattoos      Containers     Weapon      Clothes

In the trunk
you see a black steelsilk rucksack with a darkened silver clasp, a soft nightsilk bag clasped with a radiant emerald fae and a soft nightsilk bag clasped with a radiant alabaster water lily.

On the weapons rack you see a dark steel broadsword with a dragon's scale sapphire set into the hilt.

Inside Gwynath's jewelry box you see an antiqued platinum choker inset with shimmering blue diamonds, a blackened platinum armband adorned with a water sprite cradling a flawless blue diamond, a glittering onyx triple-stranded hip-chain linked with tiny dangling daggers and a regal gold tiara inset with flawless water opals and blue diamonds.

You glance into the rich flamewood armoire and see a delicate nightsilk bodice bound with thin velvet cords, a pair of black leather pants adorned with a simple strand of blue diamonds, an iridescent nightsilk gown adorned with dancing fae and nymph-shaped emeralds, a nightsilk cloak clasped with an unusual black diamond caged in thin strands of platinum, a shadowy-black nightsilk gown with brilliant draconic opals set upon the fabric, a black steelsilk gown cinched along the hips by a delicate silver chain, a pure-white shroud made of a fine linen, and a flowing nightsilk gown shaded to give the appearance of restless waters.

Armoire:

a delicate nightsilk bodice bound with thin velvet cords
As light plays across the silky surface of the bodice it creates subtle contrasts across the dark fabric. A small butterfly formed from crushed black opals adorns the right side of the chest.

a pair of black leather pants adorned with a simple strand of blue diamonds
The supple leather is expertly cut to form to the wearer and allow for greater ease of movement. A small platinum loop holds a strand of striking blue stones that spirals the left leg.

an iridescent nightsilk gown adored with dancing fae and nymph-shaped emeralds
Crushed diamonds lightly coat the gown, giving the luminous appearance of fae dust within the fabric. Brilliant emeralds have been carved into faeries and nymphs in different poses of dance and set along the bodice and hem.

A nightsilk cloak clasped with an unusual black diamond caged in thin strands of platinum
The oddly cut diamond has been wrapped loosely in platinum strands to form the clasp. Thin cracks are laced deep within the diamond and though they cannot normally be seen they give the appearance of lightning when strong light reflects across the diamond. Darker threads have been intricately woven along the back into a rich labyrinth design.

a shadowy-black nightsilk gown with brilliant draconic opals set upon the fabric
Deep blue gems with their streaks of red and coral are set in a simple pattern that is made to wrap the wearer in understated elegance.

A pure-white shroud made of a fine linen
elegant linen creates an intricate webbing which binds closely to the body.

a flowing nightsilk gown shaded to give the appearance of restless waters
Reminiscent of moonlight filtering through dark clouds upon a stormy sea, the almost iridescent soft fabric flows gracefully to floor length forming phosphorescent pools of radiant silk. A delicate platinum chain wraps the bodice and hips in a provocative design in an attempt to hold the alluring sea

Trunk:

Inside of the leather trunk you see:

a soft nightsilk bag clasped with a radiant emerald fae
Skillful artistry and precision has created this little clasp from the exquisite stone. The little fae figurine lounges restfully upon an alabaster lily pad whose water-borne leaf bears the golden striations of the stone for its veins.

A delicate platinum butterfly rests upon the pure white and translucent petals of the blossom. Black opal chips of ranging hues fill the mosaic framework of the wings, which lend to the illusion of faint movement when the light dances across the faceted surface.

Rack:

a dark steel broadsword with a dragon's scale sapphire set into the hilt
A wide blood groove leads toward the dark leather which binds the hilt. The words "Bloodthirsty Wench" are scorched along the blade just along the lower edge of the groove.

Jewelry Box:

an antiqued platinum choker inset with shimmering blue diamonds
Old-fashioned artistry creates intricately knotted strands of platinum to form the choker. Set at the center of each knot, clear blue gems glisten with faint highlights of azure and violet. At the front of the choker, a delicate alabaster water lily is suspended from a fine platinum link.

a regal gold tiara inset with flawless water opals and blue diamonds
The shimmering water opals have been cut to enhance the fire they hold within. Delicate strands of gold form honeysuckle vines that wrap the circlet in a captivating design.
A stamp within the gold reads, "Crafted for the House of Kadinis."

a blackened platinum armband adorned with a water sprite cradling a flawless blue diamond
The water sprite appears to glow when light is reflected through the brilliant diamond that she holds within her tiny hands. Along the dark platinum band a faint inscription can be made out.

a glittering onyx triple-stranded hip-chain linked with tiny dangling daggers
Three strands of glinting, faceted onyx links join together on one side. On the other side, the strands diverge, hanging at different heights. The first strand is made to cross the body moving slightly upward from the opposite hip to hug the waist, the second to complete a circuitous embrace around the hips, and the third to hang lower, dangling down on the thigh. At regular intervals tiny silver daggers punctuate the onyx chain, swinging together over the hips and waist in dangling waves.
An onyx triple-stranded hip-chain reads:
"Deadly appeal"

Sketch Pad:

Lifting the cover on the sketch pad you see pages full of partial designs and notes, a date written on one page leads you to believe these latest creations will soon be completed. As you near the end of the pad you stumble across a charcoal drawing of a tattoo of a shadowy black wolf watching silently over a battle-worn mage as she dreams, turning to the next page you find a work in progress, a tattoo of a dragon spine orchid woven around the Elothean sigil of Protection.
