Biography
Gwyneth Kate Paltrow's father, Bruce Paltrow, is a successful producer with programs such as " St. Elsewhere" and "The White Shadow", and her mother is the award-winning actress Blythe Danner.
Gwyneth and her young brother Jake, spent most of their childhood in Los Angeles. At age eleven, Gwyneth and her family moved to New York City where later she enrolled at the Spence School where she would graduate before moving back to the West Coast. The enrolled at the University California in Santa Barbara with the intention of studying Art History, after realizing she didn't feel commited she withdrew. Despite her father's advice to continue her studies, Gwyneth pursued a career in acting which began with a moving performance in the Williamstown Theatre production of "Picnic" where she starred alongside her mother.
