GYPSYMASALA-the band---We belong to diverse cultural backgrounds and our band is a result of pure multicultural taste and experimentation of various styles. The band was formally formed after a few groovy jamming sessions.

We are a band consisting of three people with diverse cultural upbringings.
TIM ANDREW is the backbone of this band. He is a guitarist par excellence and has mastery over various styles ranging from classical, latin jazz to rock although everyone considers him as a kickass flamenco guitarist!!Tim has perfomed in the UK, USA, Spain,Mexico and Australia as a soloist and with others. He has been actively involved in the music scene for more than 25 years. Previously he was involved with a local band called "Tierra" and has got three albums to his credit.
ANTHONY LINDHJEM is our bassman. He has a seriously funky style of groovy bass play in both the 4 string and the 6 string versions. His styles range from harmonics to jazzy influences and conventional rock. He is cool mate!!
PRANJAL BORA is the percussion man of Gypsy Masala. Pranjal plays the world reknowned Indian classical drums called the Tabla. He met up with the rest of the gang while coming to Perth as a student. He is formally trained in the tabla and has done numerous concerts with other musicians in India and also did several solo plays.
Recently in 2002 we have returned from a concert tour of India. The experince has revitalised and energised our music and style!
