Outlining notes - to create an answer to a writtin question Q: Would you prefer to take a vacation in the mountains or at the ocean? Use reasons to support your responce. - my 'outlined answer' -> Ocean (good) -> like water -> interested in marine animals -> enjoy swimming, sunbathing etc ->Mountains (bad) -> dislike cool weather -> dislike hiking and camping -> afraid of mountain animals etc - my answer using outline and (mostly) 'stock phrases' I would have to say that I would prefer to take a vacation at the ocean.Ever since I can remember, I have been attracted to the water. There are many things about it that I like. I have a great interest in marine animals. Among other things, I also very much enjoy swimming and sunbathing. On the other hand, although I think that the mountains are wonderful, taking a vacation in the mountains is the kind of thing (activity) that I often do not enjoy. I tend to dislike things like cool weather, hiking, and camping. So, this would be an easy choice for me. I would, on almost all occasions, prefer taking a vacation at the ocean rather than taking a vacation in the mountains. - The above is meant to serve as an example only. If you wish to to try to do something like this, you should make and memorize a collection of so-called 'stock phrases' that you can remember easily, that can 'fit' many answers, and that you are comfortable speaking (or writing ).
