Mikaela and I have had a lot of fun together "surfing" for pets for her to adopt for her web page.  It inspired me to draw pets for others to adopt.  Actually, one site in particular inspired me:
River Rapids Cyber Cattery
She has such beautiful drawings of cats!  I just fell in love with them!  I knew I could never draw anything as lovely, but I thought I would at least make an attempt at something half as nice!

The first cats shown below are have been created/manipulated/drawn from a photo I took of our fat cat "Sweetems" (photo is from her slimmer days!).  She was a stray I picked up in Okinawa, Japan.  I've had people tell me she is a Burman - I wouldn't have a clue, and really don't care!  We love her no matter what breed she may or may not be!  While in Japan, she gave birth to a beautiful litter of blue eyed, "muted tabby striped seal points" - for the lack of a more correct color term.  They had the prettiest markings I've ever seen.  I had no trouble finding them good homes.  She was spayed after that though!  (Vet and I both though she already was! OOPS!)  She has lived in Japan, Missouri, and Virginia.  She is never far from her food bowl, and takes all sorts of "abuse" from Mikaela and Parker.

Because Sweetems is very dear to me, I want to try to protect these graphics as much as possible.  It wasn't real easy for me to make these graphics, either!  I am not a wiz at this (sort of PSP challenged), so by golly, I want credit for it!! LOL

So, a few rules:

1.  email me with a request to adopt and provide:
a. your name (first name only is fine)
b. email address (must be able to receive attachments)
c. url where kitty will live
d. which kitty (i.e.; color) you would like to adopt

2.  post kitty within a few weeks of receipt (I want to visit her/him in their new home!).  Give your kitty a name too, please because Mikaela won't like it if the kitty doesn't have a name!

3.  Provide a link near kitty using my logo (or text link is fine too) so others can come visit and adopt their own kitty.

4.  Do not use these graphics for anything other than what they were intended (i.e.; posting on a web page as an adopted pet).

5.  Do not change/alter/manipulate these graphics in any way, post them as your own, provide to others in any format, resize, reshape, include in any graphic collection, mistreat, neglect, abuse, etc. etc. etc.

6.  Register you cat on the Black Sheep Farm guestbook - this way others can come see your Black Sheep Farm pet and all the other pets you have adopted from all over the web!

If you agree to all that, email me!
email us!
Upon receipt of your request, I will email you your cat, along with a logo tag to use.  I will check my email only once a day, usually in the late evening, so be patient - I'm a full time working Mom!

If you would like to see this cat for adoption in your favorite color, please email me and I'll see what I can do.  It may take me a few days to get to it, but I will be more than happy to make some in other colors.

31 August 2000 - WOOHOO!  We have been given our first "award"!  We are really excited about this and lots of thanks to Mila!

So, on to the kitties to adopt!

Seal Point
Very sweet and gentle with young ones in your home, but can be a bit grouchy towards the man of the house (Just like the real "Sweetems"!)

Flame Point
Can be a little feisty, loves to play "rough"

Lilac Point
A pure "lover" - will snuggle all day with you

My daughter, Mikaela, urged me to make cats in some "fun" colors! :-)

Blue Point
This one needs lots of loving from you, because she is "blue".
Black Sheep Farm
Here's my logo to use on your page with your pet, or you may use a text link.

I hope to be adding more cats soon.  I also plan to add other animals in the future.  So check back every so often to see if there are new animals to adopt!
