Former Owner: The Port Authority of New York and New
Jersey Construction began: 1966 Tower 1 Complete: 1970 Tower 2 Complete: 1972 Each Tower: Tallest Relevant Buildings of the World: There were a total of 7 buildings in the WTC, 3 WTC (pictured, between the towers) was a Marriott Hotel, and 7 WTC was a 47 story building off to the side. |
Both Towers: Carpeted concourse on second floor with exits to
outdoor plaza. Skylobbies at 44 and 78. There were no floors for
3-8, this was open space above the second floor.
First floor lobby: Exits to West Street (Tower 1), Liberty Street
(Tower 2), underground mall.
