| Footprints One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking across the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. he also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that once I decided to follow You, You'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most You would leave me." The Lord replied, "My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." |
沙灘的足印
有一晚，一個人做了一個夢。 夢中，他與主同行于沙灘上。 天空上，閃出一幕又一幕他生 命中的片段。每一幕的片段閃 過，他注意到沙灘上留下了兩 行的足印，一行屬於他的，一 行屬於主的。 當他生命中最後的一幕閃過， 他回望沙上的足印，他注意到 有很多時候，陪伴他生命片段 的足印只有一行，這情況每每 發生在他生命中最低沈，最悲 傷的時候。 這景象令他感到納悶。他問： 主啊！你曾經說過，一旦我決 意追隨你，你便會永遠與我同 行。但我發覺當我生命中最苦 惱及最痛苦的時候，總是只有 一行足印。我不明白為何當我 最需要你的時候，你卻離我而 去。 主聽後答道：我兒啊！我最珍貴的兒子，我愛你，永遠都不會捨你而去。當你生命中歷練著，最痛最苦的日子裡，那就是你注意到只有一行足印的日子裡，那是，我 揹著你走！！ - 主內的小寶 誠譯 - |
