The Memories | ||||||
Not long ago the XEW trembled in fear of a man called the Titan, they had little defence against his great evil, no man in his right mind would face the monster... no man. What they needed was a hero. Hacker X was their man. Hacker took charge of the XEW forces, rallying them against the evil EWF. Sadly, the XEW did not rally well, and Hacker was left nearly alone in his heroic battle. Hacker was quickly injured, and never fully recovered, he died of injuries from the Hybrids and the shock of his comrad, Brass, helping the enemy. Now, Titan and his EWF still stand, Hacker's friend and successor, Neo, has failed. Killer roams the world alone, attempting to put together the puzzle named Steven Kobalski. Brass has become Infamous Impact Nick Bower, siding not with the EWF, not with the Renegades, but with his own group of literal outlaws, the Infamous Outlaws. This is a time of crisis for both the UWF and the world in it's entirety... oh yeah, and Neo has a match against Dark Hunter, a psyco no-name bent on destroying him. Now, normally, we would ask "What Would Jesus Do?" Jesus is a lttle busy right now though so, for the UWF, let's just ask "What Would Hacker Do?" |

It's a cold, cold night, perfectly following a cold, cold day. The cavern that Steven "The Hacker" Kobalski has called home for the last week and some odd days glows with the flickering light given off by a propane lamp burning stips of cloth. It doesn't give off much heat, but the little that it does give off is the difference between life and death. The nearly inaudible echo of trickling ice water replaced the ticking of his watch which had frozen days ago. Steven pulls another man closer to the fire when he notices the man begin to shiver. It's been atleast a week since he was trapped in the cavern, he runs over the event in has mind for the hundreth time as darkness falls over Alaska's Mt. McKinnly. Steven had been looking forward to the vacation all of the first semester of his senior year, he had tickets booked two weeks in advance. Glencoe-Silver Lake High was an amazingly tedius place to be, usually your senior year was supposed to be exciting, "lot's of fun" they said. It wasn't. Teachers nagged him, bullies mocked him, and the popular girls spent their days chirping about him. If only he didn't stick out so much. Anyways, Steven took a week off to fly up to Alaska and enjoy the sights, on second to last day he began the climb up McKinnly. He had barely begun when his backpack slipped off his shoulder and slid down the mountain, toppling another climber before coming to a stop in a snow-bank next to the climber he had victimized. Steven didn't think about it at all, grabbing the back-pack up, and offering his hand to the stranger. He didn't know what hit him when the "ground" gave from under his feet. He barely stopped himself from landing on his head but the stranger wasn't so lucky, landing on his head and knocking himself out cold. The stranger had been in and out of consiousness for the last week, and was not improving. Steven began to shiver as the fire died. He was without most of his jacket as he had shredded it to burn. His teeth began to clatter so much he wondered if people would be able to hear it from a good mile away as it filled the cavern, creating a sound like thunder. His stomache growled as if ti was begging his to eat, they had run out of foot a good two days ago, and his body ached from deprevation. "Why hadn't they come?" He asked himself,"Wouldn't the loss of two men a week ago alert people? Shouldn't they have known we were trapped? How far is it to the top?" Questions tumbled out of his mind, questions were plentiful, but no answers came. Nothing was heard but a growing sound, a voice, a dark, evil, voice. "I can help you. You need me. Ask and you will recieve. I can save you!" The demon cried out, Steven was used to his voice by now, he had heard it millions of times in the last week. It seemed always present, an onmipresent force trying to break him. "You need me!" It cried and the words echoed through the cavern, growing in volume until... sudden silence! Nothing can be heard, the silence is defening. "Yes." The fire died, plunging his world into darkness. |
