The Birth | ||||
During that cold week that Steven was trapped alongside the man he soon found out was Sir Stephan (My friends call me "Neo", but klutzs aren't my friends) McHenry he was pushed beyond the bounds of his imagination. His escape came shortly after he submitted to the voice, but being the religious man that he was he refused to admit the voice had anything to do with it. He soon supressed the memmory and went on with normal life. He was two years into college before he had another visit from his "demon"... Steven opened his eyes to find his field of vision filled with blurry, multi-colored orbs. He sits up in his bed to find his room full of balloons! With every movement he makes a loud "Pop!" is heard. He makes his way to the door, stopping there to try to rest for a second, fixing his hair just incase someone is sitting in the adjoining room. He leans on the door for a split-second before it gives way, swinging open unexpectedly and sending Steven face first into the floor. "Suprise!" A mass of voices coming from no-where yell. His friends and family had thrown a suprise birthday party, he had been tipped off weeks prior, but he had forgot. He cursed his poor memmory and jumped to his feet, snatching up all the dignity he had left and acting like nothing had happened. "You guys threw a suprise party for me?!? I had no-clue! Thanks guys... by the way, who's idea was it to fill my room with balloons?" He said, verbally tripping and stumbling his way through his act,"Come on you guys," he said when noone pointed out the traitor in the bunch,"I liked the idea, it was funny! Guys? Who's idea was it?" He said, his question sounding much more like a demand. "Ah... what balloons?" said his little brother, Kevin, who was just beginning to recover from the accident that took both his parent's lives and left him paralyzed from the waist down for months. "What do you mean 'what balloons?' The ones in my room stupe!" He turned around, pointing at the open door to stress the point, when he saw what they saw. There were no balloons in the entire appartment. A few glances around the room, questioning mummers, and then everyone silently agreed to never speak of the incident again. What would his parents think? The oldest child of the family, leader of the neighborhood clan, and he was seeing invisible balloons... |
