--From
the summit of Mt. Scopus I bow dawn to you . From the summit of Mt. Scopus I
salute you Jerusalem. A hundred generations I have dreamt
to be worthy of seeing your light. Jerusalem, Jerusalem
shine your face upon your son. Jerusalem, Jerusalem I
shall rebuild your ruins.

This is the
classic song of love and longing for Jerusalem.
--In
the year 69 C.E. the Roman Emperor Titus stood on Mount
Scopus and commanded the destruction of Jerusalem. Almost
2000 years later, the modern rejuvenation of Jerusalem
was simbolized by the building of the Hebrew University
on that same spot. Today, the Hadassa Youth Center, which
houses our Year Course, stand on Mount Scopus.

A song from the writings
of the Hassidim : "A Very Narrow Bridge".
The whole world is a very narrow bridge
and the most important thing is not to be afraid at all .
Gesher Tzar Me'od
Kol a'olam kulo gesher tzar me'od,
gesher tzar me'od . Ve a'ikar, ve a'ikar lo lifached klal
