    Tomoe Hotaru is a loner-type girl without any friends. She is very weak due to an accident that happened when she was very young, and is subject to frequent seizures, during which time she can't remember what she's done. She holds the power of healing, but is thought to be weird, and gross by her peers. Then, one day, she happens upon Chibi usa, who is running, crying after her hat. Hotaru-chan helps Chibi usa chase down the afore-mentioned hat, then heals a little cut on Chibi's leg. A friendship is born.
          Haruka-tachi are wary of Hotaru, because of her father's close relations with the Muugan Gakuen. Haruka especially doesn't seem to like Hotaru, and is often warning the other Senshi not to hang around her. As usual, Usagi-chan and Chibi usa-chan don't listen. Chibi usa persues a friendship with Hotaru, and Usagi is willing to let the friendship go on. Then trouble starts.
       Hotaru is soon found out to be the 'Sovreign of Silence' and Sailor Saturn, the one who can and will destroy the earth, if awakened. Sailor Uranus-tachi are eager to just kill her to be done with her, but Sailor Moon gets in the way again and causes problems, wanting everyone to just get along. Then Chibi usa is captured, and her Pure Heart is swallowed by Hotaru, creating Mistress 9, the person the notorious Pharoah 90 works through. The gates are opened, and Pharoah 90 is let through. Mistress 9 is killed, and the spirit of Sailor Saturn is awakened. Sailor Saturn returns Chibi usa's pure heart, and then goes off to fight Pharoah 90.
     Because Sailor Moon, in a moment of weakness, gave up the Holy Grail, she can no longer transform to Super Sailor Moon, and can only watch helplessly as Sailor Saturn fights the Pharoah. Then, using the psychic energy og the other Senshi, and her own Pure Heart, she is able to transform into Super Sailor Moon. She helps Sailor Saturn defeat the Pharoah, and Sailor Saturn is reborn as a baby Hotaru.
     In Sailor Stars, Hotaru gives the three Outer Senshi the power-up to Supers, and then rapidly grows up herself. She stops growing around Chibi usa's age. They then get captured by Queen Nehelena's mirror. Sailor Saturn does not appear until later on in the season, where she pairs off with Sailor Pluto. They ultimatly fight the evil (see their profiles) Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus, and lose their starseeds in the process, killing them. She is revived when Eternal Sailor Moon rids Queen Galaxia of Chaos' control. Her last scene is of her and the other Outers wishing on shooting stars.

HENSHIN!
Saturn Planet Power! Makeup!-- ONLY from the Sega Saturn game (she does NOT have a henshin sequence on the show) Hotaru transforms into Super Sailor Saturn. This henshin really sucks, as it just copies Sailor Moon's 'Moon Crystal Power! Makeup!'

Silence Wall-- An attack that blocks other attacks.
Silence Glaive Surprise!-- Super Sailor Saturn's attack that is very very powerful, as it almost destroyed a building. It causes a moment of silence, then complete destruction. It's full power is not unleashed, as Sailor Chibi Moon stops her from completing the attack.
