Daffodils

We sit within a field of yellow
Daffodil heads gently move in the breeze.
As the sun reigns down its brilliant glow
We feel their peace around us here below.

They sit within a field of yellow
Dust and sand swirl thick in the breeze.
As the shells rain down with hazardous glow.
They fight to keep peace for us here below.
