The Earth awoke in a glorious blaze
As the sun rose up in the East.
And so it began, the crude awakening
Of each and every beast.
The Creator gazed and began to unfold
The splendor, the richness, of beauty untold.
He awakened the birds, the fish of the sea,
And the creatures of land awoke under trees.
And from the beasts rose the chosen few
Who remembered, who thought, who created anew.
They sailed on the oceans,
The walked on the shore.
They studied the wonders,
Then took up war.
The beauty of Earth, marred by their toil;
The splendor of Nature; they've raped her soil.
There's naught they can do;
They've done what they can.
They can not reverse
What was caused by their hand.
And now they are gone
With all life on Earth,
And the Creator decides
It is time for rebirth.
