Chapter VIII: Maid of the Dance
The men settled back into their chairs as the girl left the stage,
followed by several last coins and a rose.
Slowly, the crowd relaxed and started chatting amongst itself about how good the
performance had been, and how they hoped the next would be even better.
After the curtains closed, the lights increased in luminosity, signaling a
pause in the show.
Thirza turned around to Xenva, the smile on her face disappearing as she saw
Xenva's expression.
"What? Didn't you like the show?" she asked.
"I think it was very professional, and judging from the crowd I'm sure they are
ecstatic about it, but it wasn't really what I had been expecting."
Thirza tilted her head a little "What do you mean?"
Xenva licked her lips a little before continuing "What I mean is, I was kinda
expecting a male performance."
The look on Thirza's face betrayed her thoughts, and proved Xenva's suspicions.
"Watching a man perform? No thanks."
"So you're a lesbian?"
"Anything wrong with that?"
"Not perse, except for the little fact that it means you left your boyfriend
just cus he's a guy."
"No! Well, kinda. But he was no good for me."
"In what way, just cus he had a dick? What has he really ever done wrong apart
from not being a girl?"
"Lots of things? I just don't want to... I don't want to remember them!"
Xenva got up, giving Thirza a wide snarl "You bitch. You didn't even have the
decency to explain to him how you felt. You simply made everything up and left
him in ruins. That poor guy gave everything he had for you, and you simply
dropped him like a cheap toy."
She turned her back on the vixen before continuing "He never abused you, he
never threatened you. I bet he never even raised his voice to you. You disgust
me Thirza. I'm leaving, and I never want to see you again."
Before Thirza understood what was happening, Xenva had disappeared in the crowd.
But she had been right, Thirza had made up most things. Slowly, she laid her
head in her paws and began to cry softly.
Xenva stormed trough the crown, pushing several furs aside, just wanting to find
the exit and get out of this place.
Unfortunately for her, her anger caused her to lose her bearing in the mass of
fur, and as she stepped trough the door she was not greeted by a large hyena,
but a cold and dark hallway.
Momentarily dazed, she continued walking, leaving the light and sounds of the
main hall behind her. As she rounded a corner, she came upon an open door, where
she heart a male voice talking.
She peeked around the corner, careful to not make a sound, and saw a gray marter
sitting by a desk, phone in his paw. Not being able to hear what he said, and
more than a little curious, Xenva leaned in a little, when suddenly someone
pulled on her tail.
A high voice chirped in her ear "Hi you must be the new girl nice to see you come on don't be shy you're next I
know you're excited but ya gotta go when ya gotta go good luck I bet you'll do
great hun see ya later perhaps?".
Turning around, she saw a girl raccoon in a show dress, but before she could
respond she was dragged along and pushed trough a door.
The room she was standing in was dark, with only two lights desperately trying
to hold back the darkness. There was a heavy wooden floor, and the walls were
covered in dark-red wallpaper. On one end, there was a large curtain of some
sorts, behind which some muffled sounds came trough.
Walking over to the curtain, the sounds turned out to me a crowd, and Xenva's
heart would skip if she had one. This was the catwalk!
Slowly, she edged back to the door, turning around before someone would see her,
but before she reached it a louder voice announced something and a growing area
of light centered on her made it quite clear what was going on.
Turning around once more, she stared into the hundred pair of eyes of the
audience. They expected a show, and they expected her to give it.
Thinking fast, Xenva weighed out all her options, and came to the conclusions
she was screwed. They wouldn't listen to her if she tried to explain she wasn't
one of the dancers. She could run but that would look stupid. The only thing she
could do was... dance.
Off course, she knew the basic theory of the act, and she was partially
programmed for something like this, but she had never done it before.
Simply put, she had stage-fright.
She decided the best course of action would be to go trough with it, and try to
ignore the looks of the crowd.
The music began, and it sounded just like all the music before it. Other than
that, there was only the sound of soft breathing, as the crowd waited to see
whether the girl on stage was someone to cheer at or someone to throw rotten
fruit at. Xenva desperately hoped it was the first, or at least not the
second.
Not knowing what to do, she simply started a simple dance, her paws closed,
swinging her upper body left and right. Good thing she was already wearing
rather skimpy clothing. When this didn't have the desired effort, she started to
sprint towards the front of the stage, and grabbed the pole just before she
would fall off. The momentum swung her around 180 degrees, giving all in the
theater a good view of her behind.
Finally, some whistles could be heart, and Xenva started to get the hang of it.
Apparently all she needed to do was show the men a little more of her body at a
time, not too fast, and not too slow so they wouldn't get bored. She decided to
continue teasing them a few more minutes before getting closer to them. Who
knew, she might even make a few bucks.
Using her enhanced strength, she zoomed up to the top of the pole, where she
wrapped her arms and legs around it. Then she slowly started to slid back down,
the metal rubbing between her legs and breasts. She could feel her tail flicker
in the wind, and from the cheers of the crowd below it was pointed up.
Once she had both feet on solid ground again, she made a few hops before lying
down on her belly, her rear raised in the air, much to the glee of the crowd.
Smiling inwardly, she slowly rolled on her back, rubbing her breasts around as
much as she could. From the corners of her eyes, she could see the males pushing
one another around to be able to look. Sadly, she didn't know whether she was
really good at this or if they were just drunk.
Finally, she decided to remove her top. Slowly, she shook it off her shoulders,
and the more fur showed, the louder the crowd got. Already, several coins and
banknotes had been thrown on the stage, clearly a sign that she was doing
well.
When she realized the crowd wouldn't settle for anything less, she undid the
bindings of her bra on her back, yet leaving the cloth on her body to slowly
fall off on its own.
By this time, she was getting closer to the males on the first row, who seemed
to change all the time because of the crown pushing forward. She could feel paws
brushing over her tail and legs, though she did her best to avoid them whenever
she could.
As a finale of her performance, which she tried to get over with as soon as she
could, she crouched down in front of one large badger, took his head in her paws
and pushed it towards her crotch. Despite his best efforts, he could not reach
it with his tongue, so he satisfied himself with showing several banknotes down
her panties. He knew very well that touching the vixen's crotch with his paws
would result in a broken arm.
Xenva repeated this process several times, fights nearly breaking out at the
places she decided to visit. She finally stopped these by simply ignoring those
who bullied their way past others. They got the hint surprisingly fast, and her
last three visits were completely without incident.
As a final act, she started to collect the cash thrown on stage, careful to
show off as much of her body as possible.
Believing the crowd to be finally satisfied, Xenva hurriedly moved off stage, the
heavy curtains closing behind her, only dimming the roar of the crowd
slightly.
Xenva nearly bumped into the manager when while trying to both walk off and put
her clothes back on at the same time.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." she said, holding several notes in
her muzzle while tying her bra up behind her back.
"Hey no problem sweety. Say, I dint recall ever seeing you before, have you
worked here long?"
"No sir, actually I don't work here at all, I..."
"Oooh, so you sneaked in to show us how good you are eh? Well don't worry doll, I
think I can manage another girl here, but I'm trimmin me own fur!"
"What? No sir, you don't understand. I don't want to work here."
"You don't want... but baby, this is the finest place in all town. What am
I saying? This is the best place in the entire country! Excellent pay, excellent
dental plan, and some might handsome men to assist you when the costumers get a
little too close eh?"
"I'm sure it is sir, but this isn't what I'm looking for."
"Not good enough for you eh? Well have it your way tutch, but judging from those
smackers I bet you could make a real dime working here."
"Thank you sir, but if you don't mind, I'll be going now."
"Mind, mind, well... My mind says no but my body says yes eh? If you ever change
your mind my door is always open!"
With this the manager turned around and turned a corner, probably back in his
office. Xenva hurriedly put on the rest of her clothes and stuffed the money in
the two pockets. All in all, she did manage to make quite some money. But there
would be plenty of time to count it when she got back to the Agency.
Which reminded her, most of Thirza's stuff was still at her place. Shaking her
head, she decided she would deal with that later. It wasn't like she owed that
vixen anything.
