Liz Phair Guitar Tab: Nashville

I think I've finally made some headway on this. Here goes...

Standard Tuning (if you follow the live performance -- Recommended)
Tune Up 1 step (if you follow the album version)

Intro

---X-----X----X----X----X---
---12-/-10-/--8----8----8---
---0-----0----0----7----7---
---12-/-10-/--7----0----0---
---0-----0----0----9----9---
---X-----X----X----X---10---

[Note: I think this sequence is only possible if you start out using your 1st and 2nd fingers to fret the 4th and 2nd strings, respectively. It's not how I'm used to playing leads, but it's how Liz starts the intro to "Help Me Mary," at least, so it's not impossible to picture her doing it here. At any rate, that's the only way to get this combination of notes, as far as I can tell.]

That chord sequence is played three times and is then followed by this chord:

---X---X---
---X-/-0---
---7-/-9---
---7-/-9---
---5-/-7---
---0-/-0---

[Then, a bunch of other stuff happens, and although I can pick out the melody, I'm not sure what strings the notes are coming from, so I'm going to hold off on that section just now and skip to the first verse]:

"They don't know what they like so much about it"

---X-----X----X----X----X---
---12-/-10-/--8----8----8---
|---0-----0----0----7----7---| [First five chords of the Intro]
---12-/-10-/--7----0----0---
---0-----0----0----9----9---
---X-----X----X----X---10---

"They just go..."

---X-----X----X----
---12-/-10---10---
---0-----0----0----
---12-/-10---11---
---0-----0----0----
---X-----X----X----

"for any shiny old bauble..."

---X---X---
---X---5---
---4---5---
---5---5---
---5---3---
---3---3---

"and nobody sparkles like you..."

---X------X------X---5------------------
---0------X------X---5------------------
---1------6------4---4---------------4---
---2------7------4---4---4---4---4---4---
---2------7------2---2---X---X---X---2---
---0------5------2---2---4---5---4---2---

[Note: The riff at the end of this sequence begins as an A-shape barre chord (the B/F#, in this case), which is first augmented with a 4th-finger barre across the 1st and 2nd strings at the 5th fret. THEN, with your 1st and 3rd fingers busy making the appropriate barres that form the chord, the bass riff is created with the free 2nd finger (on the 6th string, 4th fret) and 4th finger (6th string, 5th fret), so that when the riff ends, your 1st and 3rd fingers are still making the B/F# chord. This might be dead obvious to most of you; my apologies if I'm overdoing it.]

The rest of the song is pretty easy to get once you reach this point, but I'm going to hold off on tabbing further until someone with better ears than me joins in and figures out the missing section of the intro...
