About 200 people moved from flooded areas to highlands

About 200 people in Somali national state besieged by water as a result of the overflowing of the Wabi Shebele river have been taken to highland areas of the state by joint efforts of members of the defence force and the local people. The head of the regional state says relief food and plastic shelters are being distributed to assist the inhabitants of Mustahil town. He said additional amounts of consignments will be sent to the areas by helicopters.

According to the head of the Somali regional state, five people and unspecified number of domestic animals were killed as a result of an inundation alongside the Wabi Shebele river.
