JP Extinction

The power is out. The gates are down. Packs of carnivorous dinosaurs are loose in the park... and there's something very strange, very deadly stalking you as well!

This section of the park was the darkest, foggyest, and had the scariest monsters running around. A combination of all of these things probably made the monsters the best in all of the park in terms of scares. There were four main types of monsters running around this section which were dinosaurs, Jurassic Park Lab workers injured by the dinosaurs, chainsaw people, and people hiding in the bushes (scariest).

Haunted Houses

Deep within the jungle, top secret genetic experiments have gone horribly wrong, creating hideous mutants half human, half dinosaur...and all evil.

This was the only Haunted House that was almost ALL outside. To get to it, you had to walk behind the Discovery center, into the backstage area, and then into a back entrance of Triceratops Encounter. You started out in the room with the Tricertops, where you saw it thrashing around through holes in a wall, with it's attendant screaming for help. Then you contuined and saw lots of dead people, killed by dinosaurs, as well as some animatronics (like a hanging man). It looked like they used a lot of movie props in this haunted house as well, including some dead tricertops. Here and there, dinosaurs would jump out at you, and then it started getting really scary when you got to a long outdoor part in complete darkness, and very thick fog. You couldn't tell where the monsters were at all, so that made it really scary.

Rating: *****

Imagine a place where your greatest fears become reality. Feel your way through absolute darkness in rooms crawling with insects, snakes, spiders, worms, rats and more.

This haunted house was based on the TV show "Fear Factor." It was located in the Thunder Falls resturant. This was a maze with very little story, but had some scenes in it. You were touched by stuff like blasts of air, walls pressing in against you, strings brushing against you, and water coming from the monsters. In each room, you saw tanks of animals (snakes, spiders, scorpions, rats, etc) and then people jumped out pretending to throw the stuff at you. It also feature a home for the rat lady (she's there every year, and lies in a glass coffin filled with rats). There was also a guy in with snakes too. It wasn't absolute darkness either.
