Island Under Seige
The Superheros have all been defeated. Now you're trapped in a decaying, lawless city under seige by the minions of the most vicious supervillian of all: "Carnage."
In this part of the park, the monsters were all supervillians and dazed police officers. I don't know if all of the villians were actually from comic books, but I know I recoginzed a few of them. There were lots of chainsaws in this area (once it stopped raining) too. I don't know if was because of there being more lights in this area, or just the people that they hired for the job, but it seemed like the villians weren't trying as hard to scare you as the monsters in the streets from other parts of the park.
Haunted Houses
Venture into the labyrinth-like secret hideout of the malevolent Carnage, and insade criminal with incredible alien powers, who's bent on mindless destruction.
This was probably my least favorite haunted house this year. Compared to some of the other haunted houses, it had very little story, and just how scary can comic book characters be? It was located in a building that was built espically for the haunted house (and probably future haunted houses) that was behind Dr. Doom. Most of the house was inside, except for the very end where you went back into Islands of Fear. The monsters were cheap supervillian costumes, or people not wearing any costume jumping out at you. On the night I went, because of weather problems, this haunted house didn't open until about 7:30 or 8:00. Also, I didn't see any Carnage monster like in the picture below...

Attractions open
The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
Dr. Doom's Fearfall
Incredible Hulk Coaster (during select operating hours)
Storm Force Accelatron
All of the rides in this section of the park stayed the same. I went on a Sunday, so the Hulk closed at 10:30. On Friday and Saturday it closed at 11:30 (the early closing time is because Islands of Adventure is across the street from residental areas), and no, like a few people emailed me about, the name of the ride was NOT changed to the Green Goblin. Dr. Doom's Fearfall is always better at nighttime, and with fog rising from all over the park, it made it seem creepier. The Storm Force Accelatron was the only ride in this area that had any difference to it, and that was added fog machines that actually made the ride look really cool with all of those strobe lights.
