Dolls and Dogs

"Jeremy come on catch up!"
"Guys wait up!"  Jeremy called, he was a new memeber.  Cub Scouts, he had always
wanted to be one and now he was, with all of his other friends.  They are exploring
the woods just to pass the time.  It's a camp out Jeremy's first one. Jake and
Saul are already far ahead of him, but he's tring to keep up.
"Ow, look at that," Jake stops right in front of a Cave, it's huge and dark, there
seems to be a pungent aroma flowing out of it also.  Saul and Jeremy catch up
with Jake and stand by him.
"Woah! where did that come from!"
"I don't know... wana go inside ?"
"Uh, guys I don't think..."
"Aw, come on little momma's boy.. you frist," Jake pushes Jeremy into the cave,
he trips over something the moment he enters it.  Jeremy looks down to see
what he triped over.  "Hay, guys!  Look at this!"
Jeremy holds an old dusty book in his hands.  The book is hard back and thick, on the
cover is a picture of what looks like.. Dolls, Dogs, and some kinda weird monster.
The other boys step in to look.
"Ow, cool!" Jake picks the book up, snapping it away from Jeremy.
"hay!"
Jake opens the book up and tries to read it.  Then he tosses it  to Saul for him to
give it a try. The book ends up back in Jeremy's hands.  He's able to make it out.
"A man, a beast to say the least.  Lead by Dolls Taken by Dogs, Watch the little boys..
as they become toys..." Jeremy gives a weird face.. The others return it, then they
shrug it off as boys do and take the book back with them.

The Camp out is over and the boys are all home.  They live close to each other
and went to school together, it was the night before Halloween. Jake could barely
wait, as soon as it got dark he would go out to trash a few houses.  Saul and Jeremy
didn't feel like getting in trouble this year and stayed home to watch horror flicks.
Well, it so happens Jeremy's parents are not exactally the best and they forgot to get
candy for tomorrow's Trick 0 Treaters.  So guess who gets to go to the store? Yep
Jeremy.  After brushing off his little sister, Jillian, he meets up with Jake and Saul, and
they walk to the store together.
"Parents did it again huh?"
"Yeah, you think I would know by now and remind them before hand"
"Heh, like father like son"
"Come on Jake leave him alone"
After the trip to the store the boys are walking back down their own street... Some
thing strange is going on..  Fast as light, Dogs are rushing by they look like blurs..  and
the howling it's painful to the ears.  They take up the whole road, but yet take up no
space at all.
"What in the?"
The boys rush to the closest house, that's Jeremy's.  They enter and find it empty.. Even Jillian is
gone.. no parents, no nothing.. Something else strange has happened all the dogs are gone from the back yard..
and Jillian's dolls are all gone.  Jeremy looks in his room, followed by the others.
The Book! it's open! it's open to the page Jeremy last read.. but he closed the book
and put it up in his desk.  But there is was open on his bead.. Jillian couldn't reach it
and his parents never go into his room.. Could the Book have done this its self?
Then a Scream! from out side!
The three rush to the window to see what happened!  Then they see it..  Some kind of creature
it's killing a young boy..  IT's Tim from down the road.. he's their age!  The creature is hiddious..
he has horns and is hunched over .. a hunchback.  His skin is worted and his hands curve as if they are
all claws.  The monster seems to glow green but the blood from the boys covers him to make him look
muddy....
After eating his last victum, the creature look directly into the same window the
three boys are looking out!.  The evil Green eyes of the monster meet with Jeremy's.  The young boy
freezes in his place.  The others back away trying to pull Jeremy with them.  He doesn't respond or move at al.
The creature lunges towards the window, then vanishes causing Jeremy to flinch and snap out of it.
"Huh...HUH...lets get out of here!"
"Where to stupid? That thing's out there, we should stay in here!"
"But it can get in, look at it, I think it could break down a door if It wanted to"
"So then what Genious!?"
Jeremy turns to the book, as he does something bursts down his front door and a loud thud is heard as
if something very large landed.  The Boys shake and quiver.  Jeremy with nothing left to do looks to the page
next to the one he last read in the open Book.

The creature is in the house and finding his way to Jeremy, this monster has a want to kill him for he has
the one thing that has been holding him all these years. 
Jeremy starts to read, "To Kill the Red Death, and for the dolls and dogs... time, in the red room... it must fall,
away... away... Red Death away!  .... "
The creature is standing over Jeremy griping his claws into his neck, despite the blood and pain.. Jeremy
continues to read.  "Leave our darkened night, return our day!"
Jeremy falls and hits the floor.  The Monster is gone, out side the voices of children can be heard playing. 
It's the night before Halloween and they were gettting a few houses, even Tim from down the street.
Jeremy, Jake, and Saul rush around the house.  Jillian is playing in her room with a strange doll....
His parents pull in the drive way, the three boys rush out to meet them.
"Sorry, Jeremy we forgot to tell you, Your Aunt called, but every thing's ok now"
"MOM! DAD you're ok!"
"Well of course son, "
"Yes did you thing we were kiddnapped?"
Saul taps Jakes shoulders and whispers.."Where are the dogs?"
Jeremy turns hearing this and the three rush off to the back yard with not a word to the adults.
The Dogs are still gone.. No one knows anything about them...
~The night has passed~
~It is now Halloween NIght!~
In their costumes the three try to brush off the after throughts of yesterday.  Jeremy carries the book in
his hands he has a task in mind.  Alone he breaks away from his group and returns to the cave in the woods.
He places the book back in the cave and turns to leave....  As he turns He head Barking, growling, and panting.
In a shock he is taken up and under by the dogs.. mauled to death..
his body is found after the dogs return home.  The other three boys are found a few days later mauled to
death also....
And as for the monster, well Jillian's new dall whom she calles "Red Mask" if odd for a doll, she even talks
to it....
