Scarecrow

This is what I did with my paper machie jack-o-lantern pumpkin that I made. I used it as the head of a pumpkinrot.com inspired scarecrow. Heres how I did it...

I started out by making taking some PVC pipe and painting most of it black with some leftover paint. I then cut up the PVC in a few pieces. One for the main pole. Two for the arms. One for an arm brace, and one for the neck. I screwed all of the pieces together. I then collected some palm fronds and spanish moss from my back yard, and tied the palm fronds to the PVC arms. I covered the arm brace with spanish moss, and put some more spanish moss at the end of the arms. The head went on the neck, and I thought it looked pretty good. I went outside and dug a hole where I wanted the scarecrow, and put the scarecrow's main pole into the hole. Once the scarecrow was in place, I filled up the hole, and tied the scarecrow down with some string for extra support (it helped save the scarecrow from the leftover gusts of wind from Hurricane Wilma. The scarecrow did lose some spanish moss though.
