| Derren Brown is a completely different performer to some of the other people features on this site. Derren rarely uses cards and almost never uses coin.....he uses something which can make the most effect in magic, the mind. The mind is the most effective........lets say prop.....used in magic because there is absolutly no way in which a mind can be tampered with. Where as cards can be rigged or coins can hidden, the mind CANNOT be made to think something that the magician wants. Derren Brown uses this method and can make even me (a magician) speechless. He somehow manages to know things that couldn't be known. One time on his show he was speaking to a women and he asked her to think of a chat up line that had been used on her in the past that had impressed her (Below). When she thought of it.....Derren used the exact same chat up line on her, it was absolutly amazing. Derren is an amazing mentalist who can make someone pick something that he wants, make someone's arm rise at the same time as his when their eyes are closed, make a women suddenly unable to be picked up, say what someone is thinking, or even guess a card they're holding. Keep an eye out for this guy on TV..........if your into mind magic, or even if your not, you'll love this guy. |
