Stuff on My PageABSOLUTELY NOTHING (Sorta, Yet) | The Y2K80 BugThis bug effects all computers with MS-DOS as the primary operating system, along with others. The reason for the bug is that MS-DOS was made with a 2-digit date code. However, the starting date of these computers was not 1900, as most people feared, but 1980. Therefore, when the year 2080 comes, these computers will not understand the date, and revert back to 1980. You may be wondering why a person would still use MS-DOS now, let alone in 78 years (2080's comming faster than you can say the entire dictionary 1000000 times! [Maybe]). The fact of the matter is that it is faster than modern computers. I was running a 486DX2-80, with 36mb of RAM and DOS 5. This computer flew (not literally). I could boot this thing faster than I can snap my fingers (I can't snap). This computer was pretty much dedicated to running Doom2. But if a company has a similar computer, running a business application, they might not need to upgrade to the latest and greatest prosessor and OS. 16-bit OS's are much more stable, and still made for dummies, since they are from Microsoft. Although you can't run anything powerful, these computers can be amazing at what they were made for. In conclusion, you can send you computer to me, with a meager fee of $200 dollars, and I will fix this Y2K80 bug. My work is garrenteed for 10 years, so if you have any problems, I will give you a full refund. E-mail Me for more information. |
