Ideal arsenal: Rocket launcher and some other weapon (pistol recommended).
Best tip: Always get a sniper to ride on your vehicle. He'll take out Covenants at long range.
Hardest part: Everything.
How to beat it: Stay focused, patient, and alert.
Cool thing to try: At the end of the level, blow up a Banshee before it takes off, and you'll be able to skip a major part of the level.

WALKTHROUGH

    Fight until you get to the outdoor bridge. Slowly go across... use the alien pistol to take out Jackals. Head down to the bottom and clear it out before you reach the end.
    Make it through the structure until you get outside. Jump first into the turret and shoot the other turret across the way. Run to the crashed Warthog and grab the sniper rifle and the rocket launcher. Jump into the Warthog and wait for 2 passengers. Drive close to the tank, and once you're behind a big rock, fire 2 rockets at it.
    Drive to the next spot and let your gunners clear the area. Jump on the Scorpion and wait until 4 foot soldeirs jump on. Drive through the tunnel and shoot the alien tank from the upper edge. Drive the tank into the base, wipe out the 2 Hunters, and then shoot the flying ship from the sky. After that, drive the tank through the building.
    You'll eventually need to get off the tank. If you still have the rocket launcher, then you're set. Run up the hill and let your forces fight the aliens on foot. Use your rockets to fight the 2 Ghosts and the Banshee.

SATISFYING THINGS TO DO IN HALO (CONT'D)

  1. Parking a vehicle over the enemies' teleporter in multiplayer (Split Screen or System Link), so when they teleport, they will be wiped out immediately.
  2. Blasting an enemy (or friend) to bits with the cannon on the Scorpion Tank (it's the most powerful weapon in the game).
  3. Wiping out a Hunter with a melee attack.
  4. Shooting down a Banshee width a rocket launcher.
  5. Driving a Warthog up the side of the mountains in multiplayer, and pistol-whipping it until it falls off the edge (and hopefully taking someone out).

    Once inside, be sneaky as long as possible, then attack. You will eventually face a Gold boss with a fast firing rifle. Take him out with a charged plasma pistol or the rocket launcher, if you still have it.
    When you reach the bridge, cross it slowly and carefully, taking position behind the barriers in the middle. be mindful of the troops on the bridge.
    You'll enter another buidling and exit at a bridge. Watch out for the invisible enemies on the far side of the bridge.
    Enter another building (when does this end?)... watch out for the 2 invisible enemies in a long hallway... use your alien pistol to stun them visible or use a grenade. You'll enter another central room with 2 Hunters in the middle. Shoot at them through the first fully available window. Their weapons won't be able to hit you. You should weaken them segnificantly before they can reach you.
    Use the rockets you just got for defeating to boss and immediately shoot the Banshee that's parked on the bridge. Then use your other weapon and grenades to take out the foot soldiers. After that, take down the second Banshee. Now, shoot the tank on the ground below eith a rocket.
    You'll go down a lift... there's an invisible guard at the bottom. Once you've reached the bottom, you'll be able to commandeer a Ghost. You'll see a pit under a structure; enter and get a rocket launcher and the sniper rifle.
    If you don't have a banshee, just use a Ghost and navigate your way to the top. Use the side strafe (similar to the side-step a foot soldier has) and avoid the Hunters' green weapons. Get out, climb the tower, and use your sniper rifle and rockets to finish them.
