Opening: "French: Two Knights Variation"
This was the second of our two-game series...
I won this game with only 0.03 seconds left on my clock! That's three-hundredths of a second! Black had a little over 1:30 left and was probably convinced he'd win by time. Towards the end, Black was playing it very smart and not taking too much time when deciding his moves, thus not giving me "extra" time to think. But that strategy backfired against Black too, as it allowed me to checkmate him...
I was really into time trouble by move 15. Already down a piece... No real attack going... CRAP! Fortunately I managed to swing things around and soon attain an advantage.
But by move 34, I had only nine seconds remaining! Every move after that until the checkmate was simply instinct. (Again, Black was also playing quickly.) But I hung in there and have this win to show for it. Needless to say that once I checkmated him, I was a very happy Joe.
