I have to admit that I wasn't expecting 22...a5 to be played. I did foresee it as a threatening move, which is why I thought 22.Rd5 would prevent it; thus, I was quite surprised when it was played nevertheless. However, looking at it again post-game, I suppose that White would be in a good position after 23.Rxa5 Qxa5 24.bxa5 Rb1+ 25.Qf1 Rxf1+ 26.Kxf1. White will have two doubled passed pawns and will now be on the offensive; Black would be on the defensive with his Bishop stuck playing defense on the a7-f1 diagonal (preventing the lead pawn push) and his King forced towards the a-file for support.
