Bluebell (Endymion non-scripta)
Short, hairless and carpet-forming. Leaves long and narrow with a 'keel' and a hooded tip, all growing from base. Flowers blue, bell-shaped and fragrant, in a long, one-sided spike which droops at the tip; April-June. Fruit egg-shaped, seeds black.

Big patch on bank below break in trees by path through woods.
