Bramble (Rubus fruticosus)
Scrambling shrub, with easily detached thorns. Rather woody, with long, usually angled stems which take root where they touch the ground. Leaves prickly, with 3-5 leaflets. Flowers 20-30mm, white or pink; May-November. Fruit (blackberry) red at first, purplish-black when ripe.

Most easily found in far meadow, but it'll also scratch at your legs in the woods!
