Low/short, softly hairy. Leaves oblong, lower leaves stalked in a rosette on the ground. Flowers tiny (2-3mm), cup-shaped, creamy or pale yellow at first, then turning blue, in a rolled-up flowerhead; May-June. Fruit dark brown, shiny.
