Dandelion (Taraxacum sect. rederalia)
Low/short, with milky juice. Leaves well-toothed, all in a rosette on the ground. Flowerheads yellow, 35-50mm, outer florets sometimes greyish beneath, solitary on hollow, leafless stalks; April-June (but can be all year). Fruit forming a white 'clock' - well-known trademark of the Dandelion.

Very familiar and easy to find on lawns, shorter grass or hard ground. Beware: there are other plants with similar flowers!
