Grey Willow (Salix cinerea)
Shrub up to 6m tall, twigs staying downy, ridged under the bark. Leaves long oval with pointed tip, tapering to base, greyish above, or with only a few rust-coloured hairs beneath. Flowers are stout catkins, silvery-white in bud ('pussy willow'); March-April, before leaves.

Can be found along the north boundary of the meadow.
