Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna)
Shrub or small tree 2-10m tall, hairless and thorny. Leaves deeply 3-5-lobed, cut more than halfway to middle. Flowers 8-15mm, white, in broad, dense, flattened clusters; May-June. Fruit a crimson berry ('haw').

Can be found around the meadow and car park fringes.
